Oriented toward early-career researchers, this workshop will address strategies for maximizing the impact of scholarly research before and after the publication of books and articles.
In an increasingly competitive academic landscape, authors need to promote their work within their communities and beyond. Publishers can partner with authors by providing resources and tips to make sure these efforts and effective and impactful. These tactics include blogging, tweeting, and engaging in other creative uses of social media.
The workshop will cover how to effectively use the social networks to disseminate research contributions, how to collaborate with journal and book editors to maximize impact, and the role of blogs and open access publications.
