Throughout the almost four centuries that slavery lasted in the Americas, the Africans who were brought into the "New World" as slaves imposed various forms of reaction to their status as slaves. n addition, the slave’s strategies used to rebel against slavery took various forms throughout the Americas such as; suicide, refusal to follow orders, infanticide, rebellions, revolutions and escapes to live in a specific social settlement. It is clear that this experience of struggle for freedom accumulated in the black slave diaspora enabled them to acquire the expertise that has made “black” life possible and that has shaped a political project that allows black people to revolt against inequality and prejudice, as well as to dream of a diasporic political project of freedom in the Americas. My essay will address the quilombolas process resistance to guarantee their territory and identity rights in Brazil in a scenario neoliberal. Also, the essay has a comparative perspective with others process of resistance made by black communities who are living in ethnic territories in Latin America
