Session Submission Type: LASA Section Roundtable
This roundtable seeks participants to discuss the growing elasticity of the term “Latinx” by highlighting the presence of groups that have been underrepresented in Latina/o/x studies. How does a focus on Central Americans, South Americans, Afro-Latina/o/xs, and/or other racialized minority groups (such as indigenous groups, Asians, Haitians, etc.) within and outside the U.S. expand, challenge, and/or reconfigure the field of Latina/o/x Studies?
