Session Submission Type: LASA Section Roundtable
When Gloria Anzaldúa published Borderlands/La Frontera in 1987 she created a pivotal text that became a point of convergence for many of the directions that would shape the development of Latinx Studies for years to come. Though rooted in the US Southwest, Anzaldúa’s words and thoughts have traversed an array of linguistic, regional, ethnic, racial, and gendered borders, to name a few. This panel seeks to highlight these conversations by discussing the continued relevance of Anzaldúa’s work in the 21st century.
