Research on Translanguaging in the Mainstream ELA Writing Classroom

Abstract

While a great deal of research addresses multilingual students’ translingual writing in K-12 contexts, only a small portion of these studies are conducted in mainstream ELA environments. This systematic literature review presents findings from this small group of studies, with implications for literacy researchers and teacher educators.
