Recent calls for regressive, race-neutral, and reductive literacy pedagogies leave literacy educators with questions and concerns. Grounding our sessions in concrete examples of research and practice, we offer attendees a safe place to learn about and discuss issues of research, leadership, and teaching practice with the goal of expanding on what we already know about critical/culturally sustaining literacy practice and how we can use this knowledge to advocate for students and educators.
