Session Submission Type: Symposium
The aim of this symposium is to explore how AI can be used to teach and assess writing, as well as to examine teachers’ and students’ use of AI. The symposium includes three empirical studies: (1) high school students’ use of and beliefs about AI for writing, based on research conducted in Norway in 2023 and 2024; (2) AI as tool for increasing students’ engagement in writing; (3) AI-supported rubric creation for assessing writing.
