Japanese Labor Policy: From Collusion to Conflict

Brief Overview

I use quantitative text-as-data tools to analyze Japanese labor politics since the 1980s. I show that labor policy became more contentious and politically salient as the policymaking migrated from the labor ministry to the prime minister's office.
