Global Backlash?: Public Opinion towards Use of Force and the Gender of Foreign Leaders

Brief Overview

Using a survey experiment, we explore whether gender stereotypes undergird public evaluations of foreign leaders, specifically with regards to support for use of force. We find that the gender of foreign leaders affects the public support for war.
