Stressing Incivility: Physiological Arousal and Incivility

Brief Overview

In a laboratory experiment, we assess the physiological effects of political incivility by tracking changes in participants salivary cortisol. Our results suggest exposure to uncivil talk may produce negative health and educational outcomes.
