Brief Overview

The Temperance Address illustrates how Lincoln believes both citizenry and politicians should approach political discourse in general.I show Lincoln's speech could be seen as a commentary on the danger that the public’s opinion can have on the betterment of the nation.Throughout his speech, he alludes to the danger that moral indignation can have on another seeing the validity of your reason.I conclude by showing the implications of this speech for Linconln’s disposition to emancipation.
