This paper examined educators’ experiences, perceptions, and beliefs as they were evaluated utilizing a state-mandated evaluation system. The study revealed the victimization of our nation’s educators when subjected to state-mandated evaluation processes. Teachers experienced fear, confusion, and demoralization as they navigated the evaluative process. The focus was on exposing teachers’ experiences, compelling educational stakeholders to rise up against those in power to reclaim our schools and our classrooms by exposing the truths behind the systems that threaten to destroy us.
