RPS Mindfulness Practices and the Intricacies of Students’ Behavioral Self-Regulation

Abstract

As teachers of elementary school, middle school and high school, we are focused on teaching students, in all age ranges, how to regulate their behavior in a variety of situations through the application of mindfulness practices. Research has shown success internationally, but America seems to be behind in the use of mindfulness as a strategy for classroom management and student engagement. The roundtable offers the chance to discuss mindfulness strategies and preliminary data.
