Session Submission Type: Workshop
This workshop is intended to allow participants time to learn from an interdisciplinary group of faculty who facilitated and/or were members of anti-racist learning communities throughout the pandemic in a College of Education and Human Development. The workshop is designed to support participants in creating and facilitating their own learning communities to help dismantle systemic oppression. We will provide participants with information related to how we developed and facilitated these learning communities focused on anti-racist work in higher education. We will discuss obstacles we faced and strategies for overcoming barriers through the lessons we learned. Participants will engage in discussions and collaborative work to start developing their own ideas for how they can implement similar learning communities given their own contexts.
