Successes of a Tutoring Partnership: A Win-Win-Win Situation

Abstract

Members of a university’s Tutoring Grant Partnership will share the positive impacts the tutoring
program has made on behalf of the university, the community, and the local school district over
the last two academic years. Discussion will include the collaborative successes in family
engagement, teacher preparation, student progress, and literacy instruction. The presentation will
highlight the importance of the tutoring partnership in regards to the increase in student literacy.
Data of student progress will be shared along with talking points for starting similar partnerships.
