Abstract

This essay will explore and interpret the symbolic meaning of Mother Teresa. The first section will give a brief history of Mother Teresa's life. The second section will focus on shared meaning and semiotics in order to provide a framework for explaining the communicative symbolic meaning of Mother Teresa. The third section will describe the semiotic impact of goodness. The fourth section will discuss Mother Teresa's symbolic goodness as well as interpret her communication style.
