The Influence of Religiosity on Vocational Anticipatory Socialization

Thu, November 17, 11:00am to 12:15pm, Sheraton, Beacon EFG

Abstract

This study examines the impact of individual level religiosity on the vocational anticipatory socialization process with respect to future expectations of organizational life. Results revealed a positive impact of religiosity (Swatos, 1998) on four forces of vocational anticipatory socialization (Jablin, 2001). Implications for further study of religiosity as well as the use of the vocational anticipatory socialization index are discussed.
