Abstract

This panel seeks to bridge the cultural divide by bringing together scholars from Language and Social Interaction and Organizational Communication who are engaged in micro-studies of organizational action. The aim of the panel is to intiate and increase exchange and convergence between these two subfields of the Communication discipline. The panel combines overviews of the convergent trends with exemplary studies. -- The panel should be submitted to the Organization Communication division for co-sponsorship.
