Realizing 'The Facts of Life': Health and 'The Hospital Poems'

Abstract

The program will begin with student performances of poems from Jim Ferris's award-winning book 'The Hospital Poems' and his chapbook 'The Facts of Life.' Ferris will then give a brief reading from both books, followed by a discussion with participants and audience members of the healthy parallels between realizing poems in the writing process and in performance.
