Session Submission Type: Panel Discussion
The passage of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation provides many opportunities for communication teachers, scholars and practitioners, as our discipline can provide direct assistance to schools as they implement this legislation. This session will be interactive and will include discussion on the following: 1. How might K-16 communication teachers, scholars and practitioners help schools that haven't met the NCLB criteria? 2. What communication training could be provided to help establish goals for improvement? 3. What communication concepts could be provided to "teach for understanding"? 4. What communication skill training might we provide to help their overall learning?
