Abstract

Four scholars representing four different nations (Iceland, Japan, Kenya, and Romania) present their research involving U.S. study abroad programs. The discussion involves the examination of U.S. sojourners’ intercultural experience overseas, how intercultural learning experience through study abroad programs contributes to the transformation of the U.S. students’ and faculty’s worldviews, and how the worldview’s (e.g., anti-Americanism) of the host nationals is communicated toward the U.S. Americans abroad.
