Session Submission Type: Panel Discussion
In order to discuss how the global and the local are inextricably intertwined in transnational public relations, panelists will combine theoretical and empirical evidence to suggest that it is time to collapse Us/Other binaries in order to help our global clients build seamless relationships between cultural borders as well as better understand the interfaces of difference in PR communication.
The panelists will discuss issues such as hybridity, cultural difference, glocalization, interrogate the current body of PR knowledge as well as describe a case study of US/Saudi diplomatic relations to demonstrate how the global and local implicate each other.
