This panel explores the role CMC plays in the communicative construction of pedagogical relationships (teacher-student, student-student, and parent-teacher) across educational levels. The panelists will examine specific types of CMC (Facebook, iLearn, Blackboard, and e-mail), which are changing the nature of pedagogical communication. The panelists will draw implications for pedagogical communication, assess the benefits and drawbacks of CMC in the instructional context, and analyze how teachers and students adapt their communication in CMC.
