Session Submission Type: Panel Discussion
In the online digital world Second Life, participants can do just about anything one might do in real life. Researchers are beginning to investigate the potential of Second Life, as well as the implications of participating in a digital world. In this highly interactive session, panelists will discuss Second life in terms of education, relationships, identity, gender, property rights, consumerism, and advertising. Actual in-world demonstrations will be used to illustrate the opportunities and concerns associated with Second Life.
