Rippling Whiteness: The Emergence of New Whiteness Facilitators

Abstract

This panel explores and contextualizes the rippling effects of whiteness in different international/cultural communication contexts, varying from educational to global settings. In these environments, whiteness has been transforming its form and nature and (re)centering itself. The panelists employ various ethnographic approaches to understand the ongoing perpetuation and expansion of whiteness. The rippling effects of whiteness become enabled in a newly established network of the power-privilege facilitation.
