Abstract

Because of our complicated status as both students and instructors, graduate students face unique challenges when trying to implement progressive pedagogical strategies. This panel explores questions concerning the practice of citizen-minded pedagogy in the graduate student/instructor classroom. Citizen-minded pedagogical methods under discussion include critical, feminist, ethnic and democratic pedagogy. Authors stimulating our discussion include Paulo Freire, bell hooks, and Patricia Bizzell.
