Communicating Worldviews: Multi-ethnic and Gendered Perspectives on Peace and Conflict

Abstract

Participants on this interactive discussion panel will examine the multiple roles that gender and ethnicity play both in the construction of violent conflict and as resources in peacebuilding efforts. The purpose of this panel is to foster dialogue among participants and audience members about current and future directions in development and peace and conflict work and to share ideas about how a communication perspective can contribute to theory and practice on peace and conflict.
