Arguing Faith: An examination of faith based media through the argumentation lens

Abstract

The presence of faith in American culture has become more prevalent in recent years and this panel seeks to explore that presence through a different means of analysis and in a wide variety of areas. By looking at artifacts from Shermer’s book to debate judges’ philosophies to faith based hospitals and Christian Zionism, the use of argumentation theory works expands our knowledge of just how we have come to understand “faith” in the 21st century.
