Abstract

This panel provides an indepth look at the practice and validity of imbedding communication curriculum and assessment into K-12 English Language Arts classe. The presentations will review current practices and trends nationwide as determined by a national study. Additionally, K-8 administrators and consultants discuss a working model of how they successfully incorporated speaking and listening skills across the K-8 curriculum in a Chicago area school system.
