Web Sights: Images of Diversity on College and University Homepages

Abstract

University websites are often the first means of relationship building with an important constituent—students. Increasingly, students use the Internet to find out about universities. In addition, potential students have the luxury of revisiting the website solidifying a certain image of the university in their minds. However, are universities realizing the power of this tool to form impressions? This paper will examine the homepages of the NCAA’s Division I schools using content analysis.
