Although global migration is a complex transnational issue, media and policy discussions in wealthy regions isolate immigration discourse within national frameworks. We analyze a media and public policy project in Britain that clearly tries to avoid problematic frames noted in other European coverage of immigration. From there we theorize the hidden racism that is masked by language of national identity and call for media to take a transnational view of societal transformations related to immigration.
