This paper presents an analysis of George W. Bushs rhetoric on the Fifth Anniversary of 9/11. In this paper, I argue that Bush focuses his discourse on praise and blame, or ceremonial speech to rally support for war, reaffirm values, support his leadership, and provide a foundation for future political strategy. Additionally, this essay discusses the implications of such communication from the office of the presidency.
