Communicating Our Worldviews: Using Intellect and Ethics (but not necessarily Faith) in Small College Research and Teaching

Abstract

We explore the theme that ethical thinking, decisions and behaviors can take forms that do not pre-suppose religious assumptions, beliefs, or traditional practices. The presentations in this panel offer other reasoning, to create arguments or provide examples of ways that communication scholarship and practices inform ethics in our professional lives and in our classrooms.

We’ll have three presentations, a workshop of teaching ideas, and an ethical, intellectual, interactive discussion of the ideas and arguments offered.
