In the last decade in the field of communication, scholars have given increasing attention to whiteness, in terms of research and teaching, and its relevance to practices in and outside of higher education. Whiteness studies has offered critical perspectives on identity, pedagogy, media, performance, intercultural communication, and a range of other fields central to communication. This roundtable draws on the expertise of leading whiteness scholars to address issues central to whiteness studies and communication.
