Abstract

Because style has taken on such an increased significance in our society it is imperative that Critical/Cultural Studies scholars examine style and how it functions more closely as a cultural phenomenon. Therefore, this panel, comprised of communication scholars with diverse research foci, will be an engagement with the various ways that style functions at the intersection of various cultures, by not only situating the multiple uses of style within their historical roots, but also by analyzing their social and political implications.
