Session Submission Type: Panel Discussion
This roundtable session brings together communication scholars, an oncologist, a health policy professional, and a hospice physician. Participants will discuss ways of creating opportunities for medical professionals, patients and families to engage in generative dialogue about end of life. Focus will be on creating opportunities to talk across professional and personal boundaries in an attempt to limit the constraining expectations and debilitating frustrations that arise in the end of life process.
