In this essay I discuss an innovative approach to preventing violence against women, and explain how it is informed by feminist thought, embodied praxis and social justice pedagogy In addition, I challenge some popular programs that inadvertently reinforce homophobia and male privilege. By building bridges and applying a more multidisciplinary approach as advocated in this paper, we can work with our colleagues in the arts and social sciences to prevent college rapes.
