This study hypothesized that level of instructor eye contact interacts with student culture to affect student ratings regarding instructor credibility, affect toward instructor and affect toward class content. Participants received one of three treatments in the form of written scenarios asking them to imagine low, moderate or high eye contact being used by an instructor during lecture. Data indicate no interaction effect, no main effect for culture, and a main effect for eye contact.
