Keeping the Common in Community: La Technique, ‘the City,’ and other ‘Environmental’ Hazards in the Contemporary Church

Abstract

Just as one would expect to find a variety of animal and plant species in a natural habitat, one would also expect to find a degree of sacredness in houses of worship. This paper argues the environment of the Contemporary Christian Church is being ravished by techniques and programs more closely associated with western commerce than holy religion.
