In this paper, I engage the ideas of reflexivity and privilege building off of work by Calafell and Moreman (2009; in press) to interrogate my identities as they come to bear in a current research site (see Calafell, 2009). Specifically I raise questions or issues in regards to the complexities of privilege(s) and the ways they come to bear upon my multiple and sometimes ambiguous identities in the site. Through this narrative I seek to make larger gestures/critiques about the space (or lack thereof), for queer people of color in the field and the uninterrogated nature of white queerness.
