This study examines a relatively neglected area of diversity research: exposure diversity. It assesses how different groups use digital devices for consuming media content and connecting with one another.
297 participants were surveyed about the digital media devices they have and what they do with them. Access and use were analyzed in terms of users’ age, gender, race, annual income, and education. Results confirm the persistence of a “digital divide.”
