This analysis explores the ethical questions that arise when aesthetics are appropriated and transferred into digital forms, bridging the material and the digital. I examine the work of the sampling artist Girl Talk, suggesting that the music of Girl Talk may be conceptualized as a counternarrative to the metanarratives of Form, Creation, and Authority. However, it hinders our potential to have an aesthetic experience thereby depriving us of the opportunity to deepen our moral perceptions.
