The National Education Seminar (NES) is the premier educational opportunity for property management professionals who manage personal property and fixed assets for universities, federal, state and local governments, hospitals, and private industries. We encourage educational sessions that are theoretical or practical in application and address a topic from a managerial or administrative approach, case studies, legislative/regulatory aspects or best practices perspective of property management with introductory, intermediate, or advanced levels of complexity.

Submissions must be received by February 16, 2009 to be considered for inclusion in the 2009 NES program. If you would like to submit multiple proposals, a submission for each proposal is required.

Submission Guidelines:
Upon notification that a presenter's proposal has been accepted, each presenter is required to comply with the following:

1. Submit a PowerPoint file of your presentation by July 1, 2009 (instructions on this submittal will be sent to selected speakers)
2. Make a commitment to present at the NES during the assigned session(s).
3. Authorize NPMA publishing authority of all submitted materials.

Conference Attendance:
If your proposal is accepted for presentation at NPMA's 2009 NES, you have a commitment to attend the event and perform your assigned speaking role. If circumstances prevent your participation, you should try to find a substitute to perform your duties and notify the NPMA Meeting Planner immediately. NPMA policy requires no registration to NES if you plan to only attend the day of your presentation and not participate in any other NES functions or activities; however, if you plan to attend the seminar, you must register and pay on your own. NPMA does not offer complimentary registration or any other form of compensation to speakers.

Presentation Length
Breakout session length is 60 minutes, which should include time for questions from the audience. The session should be interactive with open discussion.

Important Dates:
February 16, 2009: All submissions finalized and due
February 25, 2009: Notification of accepted presentations
July 1, 2009: Final PowerPoint Presentation and White Paper due

The NES will be held August 17-20, 2009.
