The Northeastern Political Science Association will hold its 50th annual meeting in Montreal, Canada from November 8th through the 10th, 2018. In honor of our 50th Anniversary of hosting conferences for the presentation of political research and findings, this year’s theme will focus on events, trends, crises that have shaped the world during the 50 years of NPSA's existence. What is different today than 50 years ago? Which conditions facilitated these transformations and what are the implications of these changes? What has stayed the same and why? We believe this theme encompasses all Political Science subfields and encourage participants to think broadly and creatively about their areas of interest and research. While not all papers have to incorporate the conference theme, preference will be given to those proposals that do.
We also need volunteers to serve as panel chairs and discussants and welcome graduate and undergraduate students to submit proposals.
Submissions will be invited for papers, panels, and roundtables beginning in March. The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2018. We look forward to seeing you this year in Montreal for our 50th Anniversary conference!
Please note: The NPSA prohibits multiple paper submissions. Only one paper submission per person will be accepted. However, a paper presenter may also serve as a chair or discussant on another panel or as a roundtable participant. If a faculty member sponsors an undergraduate research paper that does not count as the single submission and faculty may submit a separate paper that they will present.
Questions about submissions should be directed to the appropriate Section Chair or the 2018 conference Program Chair, Farida Jalalzai (email@example.com). For general conference or membership questions, please contact NPSA Director of Member Engagement, Koop Berry (firstname.lastname@example.org). Additional information is available on the NPSA website (www.northeasternpsa.com), which is regularly updated. An emailed acceptance letter from All Academic does NOT register you for the conference. Acceptance of your paper/proposal indicates a commitment to register for the conference at www.northeasternpsa.com. You must register separately from your proposal submission.
