Abstract
This panel covers a lot of breadth by looking at issues relative to urban redevelopment, pluralism, the role of culture in democratization, new media, and the relationship between capitalism and crime. Each paper highlights distinct and important challenges to how theorists conceive of challenges to contemporary liberal democracies.
