Northeastern Political Science Association 2026

58th Annual Meeting
November 12-14, 2026
Providence, RI

We are happy to announce that the Northeastern Political Science Association’s 58th Annual Meeting will take place at the Omni Providence Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island, on November 12-14, 2026!

At NPSA, we strive to provide an intimate environment for a vigorous exchange of ideas at reasonable registration rates, enabling us to offer a welcoming space for faculty members and graduate students representing a wide range of institutions.

We welcome you to use our All Academic submission site to upload your paper, panel, or roundtable proposal and to indicate your availability to serve as a panel chair or discussant. As always, we need volunteers to serve as panel chairs and discussants. We hope you will consider volunteering in a service role when you submit a proposal!

The submission deadline is April 15, 2026.

Graduate and undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to submit proposals.

Please note:

  • To submit a proposal, you will need an All Academic account. You can create one for free.
  • The conference is fully in person, and AV equipment is NOT available. We encourage our participants to bring handouts for their talks, if they so wish.

Only one paper submission per person is allowed. However, a paper presenter may also serve as a chair and/or a discussant on other panels or as a roundtable participant; faculty members may serve as mentors for undergraduate research.

Please submit your paper or panel proposal to the appropriate Conference Section Chair.

NPSA will award travel grants by lottery to two graduate students who register for and participate in the annual meeting. Names will be selected at the conference; each student will receive a $150 check to help offset expenses associated with attending.

Registration for the Annual Conference opens each year on September 1. Membership can also be renewed at the same time. Discounted rates will be available from September 1 through October 31st. Attendees can arrange travel accommodations at any time. Travel discounts and hotel information can be found on our website: Northeasternpsa.com

The NPSA website is regularly updated with conference information. For questions, please contact the appropriate Section Chair or NPSA Executive Director Jeffrey Kraus at jfkraus1@aol.com.

We look forward to seeing you in the historic, beautiful city of Providence in November!
