The “Image” here is both the image that is being projected from inside Iran, which is parallel to the image that Western feminist literature depicts of a woman in the developing world. This poster focuses on representations/voices of Iranian women in social media (Instagram and Telegram) in the contemporary, local visual culture that have gone global and reach a multitude of audiences. The goal is to resist and to dismantle the passive monolithic image of this woman.
