About Oklahoma Research Day
Oklahoma Research Day is a consortium event coordinated by Oklahoma's Regional Universities. The first Research Day in Oklahoma was held in 1999 and included 233 poster presentations by students and faculty from colleges and universities across Oklahoma.

Now in its 12th year, Oklahoma Research Day has grown in numbers and stature. Contributions come from all of Oklahoma's institutions of higher learning, and collaboration with national and international research institutions. The number of poster presentations has grown to more than 600, with more than 1200 students, faculty and guests in attendance.

Prior to 2008, Oklahoma Research Day was traditionally held on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma. Starting in 2009, however, other campuses began to host the event, with Northeastern State University inaugurating this new stage of Oklahoma Research Day's development. For 2010, Cameron University has accepted the honor of hosting the Oklahoma Research Day on the Lawton campus.

The event is more than merely a celebration of research, creative and scholarly activities. It is also an opportunity for students and faculty from multiple institutions to interact with counterparts within their respective disciplines and with people from other disciplines. This cross-campus, cross-disciplinary interaction is what makes Oklahoma Research Day the premier academic research event in the state.
