Folger Digital Agendas III: Roundtable: Digital Futures

Abstract

In this roundtable, participants will discuss what future digital projects for early modern studies and special collections libraries might look like. Many current early modern digital projects (at the Folger and elsewhere) have focused on the transcription, tagging, and data mining of texts. Digital Futures will turn our attention to other possible areas of exploration for early modern digital studies, including the production of early prints, attention to the material features of books and manuscripts, creating and displaying annotations, and new tools for visualizing provenance and circulation. The conversation will focus on the opportunities and challenges for tomorrow’s digital agendas.
