Session Type: Professional Development Session
Changes to the definition of what kinds of research constitutes a Clinical Trial at the U.S. National Institutes of Health have resulted in many experimental research protocols being subsumed under the definition that were not previously subject to Clinical Trial submission, registration, and reporting requirements. In response to push-back from the scientific community, there have been some adjustments and delays in implementation. This session will offer some updates on where things stand and some guidance to researchers who are preparing or planning NIH proposals.
